The Legal Aid Foundation of Colorado announced this year’s Associate’s Campaign raised $100,000 during its one-month fundraising drive.

This year, 979 individuals contributed to the fundraiser and 80 percent of all associates in participating firms made a donation.  Ireland Stapleton’s associates, again, made the 100 percent participation list. The money raised helps to make up for a loss in funding to Colorado Legal Services. Kelly Bossley, associate director at the Legal Aid Foundation, said the campaign is a great way to get new leadership involved in the issue of access to justice from the next generation of lawyers.

Legal Aid Foundation was established in 1981 in response to cuts in federal funding for legal aid.  The Foundation promotes equal access to justice by raising funds to provide civil legal services for low-income people in Colorado.
