Ireland Stapleton Donates School Supplies Benefiting DPS
14 Aug 2014
This year, Ireland Stapleton attorneys and staff pitched in and donated school supplies for the annual Denver Bar Association’s Back to School Supply Drive.
The Back to School Supply drive, sponsored by the DBA’s Community Action Network, benefits homeless children in Denver Public Schools and the Children’s Outreach Program. Last year the drive provided over 300 backpacks, meals and museum tickets to homeless students.
Each year, Ireland Stapleton’s Community Action Committee, made up of staff and attorneys, selects area nonprofits and community programs to support with their time, talent and treasure. In 2014 the CAC has supported the DBA’s Back to School Supply Drive along with the Roll out the Barrels Food Drive and the Denver Warm Welcome Court Child Care Book Drive. Later this year the CAC will support the Senior Support Service’s Oktoberfest and the Holiday Giving Project for the Denver Rescue Mission.
“Supporting childhood education is an important cause,” said Nathanial Haakinson, Ireland Stapleton records manager and long time Community Action Committee member. “We often take for granted being able to provide our children with the supplies they need for school, we were happy to offer a helping hand to those in need.”
