The Colorado law firm, Ireland Stapleton Pryor & Pascoe, PC, is pleased to announce that it has opened an office in Grand Junction, Colorado. Grand Junction attorney Jeffrey S. Hurd has also joined the firm as a Director, and he will lead the firm’s Western Colorado office.

“Ireland Stapleton is excited to be expanding into Western Colorado,” said Managing Director Erica Tarpey. “We have had a client base on the Western slope for decades and are committed to providing solutions to challenging and sophisticated legal issues throughout the state and the region.”

Hurd, raised in Grand Junction, has experience working on complex litigation and regulatory matters as well as internal investigations and appeals. His practice focuses on rural electric cooperatives and representing various corporate entities, special districts and municipalities. Currently, Hurd serves as Chairman of the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce. After law school, Hurd clerked for the Honorable Timothy M. Tymkovich of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

“This is an opportunity to build a Colorado law firm that can truly provide local Western Slope representation while tapping into the depth and breadth of a well-regarded Denver practice,” said Hurd.

Former Colorado Secretary of State and current Ireland Stapleton attorney, Bernie Buescher, will split his time between the Denver and Grand Junction offices. Buescher, a Grand Junction native, previously represented Grand Junction in the Colorado legislature.
