Special Districts attorney Emily J. Powell will speak at the 2016 Colorado Park & Recreation Association Conference in Grand Junction, Colorado. Speaking to executive directors, and Park and Recreation employees, she will discuss the Fair Labor Standards Act and basic employee compensation requirements, including minimum wage, overtime, “comp time”, differentiating between exempt and non-exempt employees, and the requirements of the new rules before they become effective on December 1, 2016.
