Ireland Stapleton Pryor & Pascoe attorney, Emily J. Powell, will speak at the Colorado Parks and Recreation Association’s annual conference October 4, 2012 in Keystone, Colorado.
Powell will speak to managers, administrators and employees of various park and recreation districts throughout Colorado about how social media is affecting the workplace and how to craft appropriate social media policies. Additionally, she will address how local governments can best identify the laws that apply to all local government contracts, as well as specialized laws that apply to construction contracts, service agreements and other unique contracts.
Powell is an employment law and special districts attorney at Ireland Stapleton. She assists special districts with contract and intergovernmental agreement review and drafting; special district organization; property inclusions and exclusions; and advice and assistance related to elections and employment matters, among other issues.
