The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (“Families First Act”), which provides Emergency Paid Sick Leave and Emergency Family Medical Leave for employees impacted by COVID-19, will go into effect on April 1, 2020. The Families First Act requires employers to post a notice of the two new emergency leave benefits in conspicuous places on the employer’s premises where such notices are customarily posted.

In light of the various Stay at Home Orders across the state, and for those of you with employees working primarily from a remote location, it may be difficult to post on the work premises. As such, consider whether you want to send this out to employees by email or post to another site where you may be posting materials for employees’ view only, such as your intranet site or a closed social media site for employees.
