Smart Resolutions: Leveraging AI in ADR Decision-Making, Advocacy, and Administration

Ireland Stapleton litigation and alternative dispute resolution attorney Julie Walker will be presenting in the Colorado Bar Association’s 19th annual Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) conference. This year, a major theme will be artificial intelligence (AI) and how it is impacting ADR practices.

Julie’s presentation, “Smart Resolutions: Leveraging AI in ADR Decision-Making, Advocacy, and Administration,” will explore how AI tools are currently being integrated by ADR administrators, neutrals, and advocates to enhance efficiency, decision-making, and fairness. Attendees will gain insights into emerging technologies such as GenAI tools for practitioners and neutrals, ADR administrator-led AI integration, AI-assisted mediation platforms, predictive analytics, prompt engineering, and ethical frameworks for responsible AI use. Real-world applications and demonstrations will highlight both the promise and the practical challenges of adopting AI in ADR settings. Julie will be presenting alongside attorneys Miles Orton and Alisa Bacon Sullivan.

Julie Walker leads both the Ireland Stapleton litigation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) practice groups. She has extensive trial and litigation experience, in particular representing construction-related companies and other sophisticated clients in high-stakes and strategically important matters.  She has also represented clients in arbitrations and mediations across the country. As an arbitrator and mediator, Julie serves on the Commercial, Construction, and Consumer panels with the American Arbitration Association; she is a member of the American Arbitration Association’s Roster of Mediators; and she serves on the Construction Defect Resolution Services arbitration and mediation panels.
