The 2018 Farm Bill (signed into law in early 2019), decriminalized Hemp and any products derived from it, by decoupling Hemp from Marijuana and removing it from the Controlled Substances Act of 1970. It has been decriminalized, but the legal commercial structure has not yet been created. Now, both the US Department of Agriculture and the Food & Drug Administration are going through rulemaking, and they are expected to be done by the end of Q1 2020.
