Jim specializes in commercial real estate transactions such as acquisitions, sales, leasing, financing, and land development. Additionally, he provides expert testimony in legal proceedings, teaches continuing legal education courses, and has served as the Managing Editor for CLE of Colorado’s real estate forms book. With decades of experience, Jim has received numerous accolades, including being named Colorado’s top real estate lawyer by Law Week Colorado, and is listed among the top 100 lawyers in the state by Super Lawyers.
Brian Huebsch joined Ireland Stapleton in 2024, bringing over 20 years of experience in tax controversy, representing clients in disputes with federal, state, and local taxing authorities. He specializes in defending individual and business taxpayers in IRS audits, criminal tax investigations, and litigation, as well as advocating for Colorado businesses in state and local tax audits. Brian also assists non-compliant taxpayers in returning to compliance, resolving tax liens and levies, and negotiating past-due liabilities. He has extensive experience in representing accounting professionals in disciplinary proceedings and malpractice claims. A recognized expert, Brian frequently lectures on tax law and ethics and has taught federal and state employment taxes at the University of Denver’s Graduate Tax Program.
