Regulatory attorney Tom Downey has been named to 5280 magazine’s 2017 list of Denver’s Top Lawyers.
Downey is recognized for marijuana law. Working with other attorneys in the firm, including litigators, business, intellectual property, real estate and employment attorneys, Downey helps his clients navigate all aspects of regulatory law, including advising and representing clients in the administrative, transactional and disciplinary processes related to state legal marijuana. Marijuana Law is part of Downey’s broader regulatory practice, which includes liquor licensing, zoning, property tax appeals, appearing before the Public Utilities Commission and all licensing areas under the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies.”
Compiling the List
5280 invited attorneys in the seven-county Denver metro area were to vote for the attorneys they respected most in 50 legal specialties. Reporters followed with weeks of interviewing to get an on-the-ground perspective. More than 400 attorneys are named to this year’s list.
