Mr. Lewis came to Ireland Stapleton Pryor & Pascoe, PC in 1973 after practicing three years with Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York City. Prior to that, and subsequent to his graduation from Fordham Law School, he was a Vista volunteer attorney in Denver. Mr. Lewis’ practice since coming to Ireland Stapleton Pryor & Pascoe, PC has been heavily concentrated on the representation of technology-based companies in the Boulder Valley and elsewhere in Colorado.
He has served as an expert witness on corporate and securities matters a number of times and enjoys the special representation of corporate boards of directors. Currently his work concentrates on representing early-stage entrepreneurs, corporate transactions and financing at all stages.
Mr. Lewis has successfully led a number of Initial Public Offerings for his clients over the years, although his work has concentrated on corporate transactions recently. He was recently lead counsel on a significant corporate recapitalization, with multiple aspects involving equity and debt financings, executive agreements, a $20 million issuer private tender offer and change of control. He has also recently been involved in a going private transaction and numerous corporate merger transactions.Memberships
In his personal life, Mr. Lewis particularly enjoys tennis, having just completed a fifteen-year volunteer involvement in the Leadership of Tennis in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain area. During that period he served terms as President of the Colorado Tennis Association and later the Intermountain Tennis Association as well as various committee positions as a Delegate with the USTA. Mr. Lewis has been a ranked player in his senior age group in Colorado almost every year for the past twenty years. He also enjoys golf, skiing, traveling and family activities.
