K.C. Groves, a commercial litigation attorney and managing director of Denver-based law firm, Ireland Stapleton Pryor & Pascoe, PC, has been named Colorado Judicial Institute’s board chair.
“I’m honored to be CJI’s board chair. CJI is a great organization doing important work for Colorado’s judicial system and our community,” said Groves. An active member of CJI since 2009, Groves will serve a two-year term.
As chair, Groves will help lead the organization to further its mission to enhance the independence and excellence of Colorado courts, further public understanding of the state judicial system and to ensure the courts meet the needs of the people. As part of its mission, CJI provides grants and scholarships for continuing judicial education.
Groves’s law practice focuses on complex commercial litigation. He represents companies and individuals in jury trials, bench trials, appeals, arbitrations, mediations, regulatory proceedings, and litigation avoidance strategies.
