Craig N. Johnson is a Colorado attorney with over thirty years of experience representing clients in the electric utilities industry. Before joining the firm, he served as Director of Policy and Strategy/General Counsel at the Colorado Rural Electric Association (CREA), where he provided strategic policy direction and leadership to Colorado's electric distribution cooperatives. He previously served as Chief Legal Officer for Colorado's largest electric distribution cooperative and as Deputy General Counsel with Platte River Power Authority, a municipally-owned wholesale electric generation and transmission utility serving four communities in northern Colorado. He began his practice with a large national law firm and later became managing director of a large regional law firm in Denver where he engaged in a diverse commercial litigation practice. His experience includes negotiation of agreements for power supply and the development of renewable energy projects, environmental litigation, regulatory matters, construction litigation, insurance coverage litigation, employment disputes, securities claims, and intellectual property matters, including trademark and trade secret disputes.
