Alternative Dispute Resolution

Ireland Stapleton’s Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Practice Group is focused on providing arbitration and mediation services to parties involved in commercial, construction, consumer, and regulatory disputes. The attorneys in this group are fully certified ADR professionals who have undergone significant training in ADR techniques and procedures.

The Firm’s ADR professionals serve as party and institutionally appointed arbitrators or panel members for the American Arbitration Association’s Commercial, Construction, and Consumer panels, and regularly serve as privately appointed arbitrators. They have been appointed as chair, panelist, sole arbitrator, and emergency arbitrator. The team has substantial training and experience in best practices for impartial service as skilled, unbiased neutrals and are trained in the application of arbitration process and procedure. As a result of this substantial training and experience, our arbitrators are able to utilize their deep understanding of the law and dispute resolution to reach an impartial and just outcome for the parties involved. 

Similarly, our mediators are highly trained in mediation techniques and have experience handling a variety of complex commercial disputes.  The attorneys in this practice group are well-versed in working as impartial neutrals to assist parties through a dispute using communication, conflict management, and settlement processes. They can help individuals define and understand their diverse issues and interests as they work to find pragmatic solutions with each party’s best interests in mind, whether before or during litigation or arbitration.
