Biography

John Miller is an associate in Ireland Stapleton’s Special Districts practice group. He advises special districts across Colorado on matters related to governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance. His work includes negotiating intergovernmental agreements, guiding revenue stabilization efforts and TABOR-related issues, ensuring statutory compliance, and advising on board meeting procedures and employment matters.

Before joining Ireland Stapleton, John spent nearly a decade working in corporate governance, where he developed a strong understanding of the importance of sound compliance practices and transparent operations. He brings that same focus to his work with special districts and local governments, helping clients identify and mitigate risk while promoting effective, efficient governance that serves their communities well.
