Wilton W. Cogswell, IV

Wilton W. Cogswell IV, known as Four, is a tax, trust, and estate planning attorney at Ireland Stapleton. Since 1992, he has helped clients preserve their legacies through thoughtful, client centered planning strategies, with a particular emphasis on tax planning and wealth transfer. Four also advises clients on emerging businesses, choice of entity, and tax exempt organizations. Clients value his ability to explain complex legal and tax concepts in clear, practical terms.

Four regularly counsels business owners and their families on succession planning, including the use of family entities and specialized trusts to achieve long term objectives. His practice also includes advising on transactional matters and real estate issues.

Four began his legal career as corporate counsel for a regional telephone company. He joined Ireland Stapleton as Of Counsel in 2005 and has maintained a private practice since 1993.
