Jennifer M. Lyman is a Senior Attorney at Ireland Stapleton. Her practice focuses on estate planning, trust and estate administration, and related tax matters. Jennifer also has experience in the areas of fiduciary litigation, guardianship and conservatorship proceedings, and elder law. Jennifer enjoys working with clients to develop their lifetime and testamentary planning, including reviewing and drafting wills, trusts, beneficiary designations, powers of attorney, and advanced medical directives. She advises fiduciaries and beneficiaries in probate proceedings and trust administration.
As a native of upstate New York, Jennifer received her B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude, from the State University of New York at Cortland, and her J.D., magna cum laude, from Albany Law School. While in law school, Jennifer realized her passion was estate planning and working with families to develop plans to protect and provide for their loved ones, and earned a concentration in Estate Planning, with honors. Jennifer then went on to attend the Graduate Tax Program at the University of Denver and earned her LL.M. (Master of Laws) in Taxation, again focusing on courses such as Estate Planning and Estate and Gift Taxation.
Jennifer is admitted to practice in Colorado, New York, and Florida (inactive). She is a member of the Colorado, Denver County, and New York State Bar Associations.
After living in Denver for eight years, Jennifer moved to Saratoga Springs, NY where she lives with her husband and two-year old son.
